But yeah, as @Tarbh says, "Because #RTÉ...". The Radio people were online long before the TV side of the house, and probably did everything they could not to get sucked into the shitshow that was #RTÉPlayer

@faduda Gotta say I've been using the #RTEPlayer (on a pretty old tv set via a chromecast dongle) as my only means to watch both live and stored programmes for a full year now and have has no issues with it whatsoever. There aren't even ads to contend with. The screen goes blue for the live ad breaks.

The #EuropeRevealed documentary series is showing on @Rte 1 at this crazy late hour, but is a really fascinating and comprehensive look at how goods are moved around the continent and beyond, with an eye on the environmental impact of it all. All episodes are on the #RTEPlayer and it's a series well worth your time. #TVRecommendations

Just think, even as we speak l someone in Donnybrook is desperately trying to get through to the guy who built #RTEPlayer to ask him to build an #RTE instance

I'm a fan of the Roku platform, but there's no @TG4TV app for Roku, so I picked up a GoogleTV device so that I could watch @TG4TV on the big screen. Decided to try the #RTEPlayer, and surprise, surprise, #RTE keeps setting the bar lower and lower.
