Just remembered a moving moment at last week's #RTEFolkAwards when they ran a film reel in remembrance of the musicians that had died in the last year, accompanied by the beautiful fiddle playing of Aidan Connolly.

It was sad to see the likes of Mick Moloney and Dennis Cahill on the screen, but among all the images of (mostly) older men, suddenly there was an image of a young woman with a fiddle in her hand - Aisling Murphy.

There was an audible collective intake of breath from the audience.

An incredible night of music at #VicarStreet tonight for the #RTEFolkAwards with an absolutely stellar line up of performers.

And a poignant moment when the late great Paddy Moloney was inducted into the Hall of Fame and his band, The Chieftains, played with an empty chair on which were placed Paddy's set of pipes.
