Here's an example on how #Beijing tries to silence #media (#RTHK in this case) and a #journalist who simply used a publicly accessible data base of number plates to uncover who was behind sending white-dressed #Triads thugs to beat up pro-#democracy protestors at #YuenLong MRT station.
While #BaoChoy was not sentenced to a jail term, the hefty fine certainly serves as an intimidating warning to investigative journalism in all of #HongKong.
