This project is very close to done now.. although technically its a long form generative project it will only ever be used to generate a small number of fixed outputs. (Although I guess if I share the code anyone can generate however many they like.)

Next step is figuring out how to increase the resolution high enough for printing despite memory constraints. This is essentially just a massive scatterplot and at the moment R on my PC is struggling!

This one was from a mistake in my code. I used colorRamp() instead of colorRampPalette(), so my colours were interpreted as vectors of integers rather than as RGB colours. Hence the three randomly selected colours from the base R palette for each part of the image. But it works!

Colour Space!

The image needed something for the foreground and I think this works. Tried a few simpler geometric shapes but it was a bit jarring. This feels nicely organic to go with the background.

Something I don't always remember when making #mathart is to change parameters at random just to see what happens. This code is almost identical to the last image, if you make the individual flowers much much bigger so they overwhelm the image. #rtistry #genartclub

@dmje there is #Rtistry for the subset of generative art made using the R programming language. I think you can also hide posts with certain hashtags under Preferences > Filters - it may be easier to hide posts that have hashtags specific to AI art.
