OK, so I finally found the time to finish #RTMI and... it's just... the sound of the gnashing of teeth. Flames on the side of my head. The sudden desire to throw Ron Gilbert off a cliff.

Just he and Grossman can't craft a satisfactory ending to their own story it doesn't mean that it can't be done. It simply means that G&G will drop the ball at any time given the chance.

Just completed #RtMI #ReturnToMonkeyIsland for the second time. This time in #German language. Is there anybody interested in my thoughts about the game or the brilliance of #LucasArts adventures? Thank you all for decades of entertaining and helping me define my sense of humor. @grumpygamer @DavidBFox @darmato

@langhaarschneider ich hab's vor ein paar Wochen gemeinsam mit meiner Frau durchgespielt. Der Trip hat mir gut gefallen, aber ich war doch ein klein wenig enttäuscht vom Ende... #RTMI #ReturnToMonkeyIsland

Und geschafft! #ReturnToMonkeyIsland #RtMI #ReMI habe ich jetzt auch auf Deutsch durch. Das Ende lasse ich noch nachwirken. Hat auch beim zweiten Durchgang Spaß gemacht und ich habe Details entdeckt, die mir beim ersten mal entgangen sind.

@mwgore for me, Monkey Island wasn't just my first adventure game but more like my first computer game. Never really liked the action games, but this game got me hooked to the entire genre. They created these beautiful worlds to explore - the EGA version looked better than anything at the time! And then came the VGA version... and the SoundBlaster playing the wonderful theme song. And it all was so incredibly silly and funny!

And now #RtMI captured all that excitement again!

Ich hatte Return to Monkey Island bereits im O-Ton durchgespielt, aber mit den deutschen Originalsprechern wirkt das gleich ganz anders #remi #rtmi #returntomonkeyisland Auf zu Runde 2!

BTW having now made a start on #RtMI it is simply glorious. Pulls so many memories from the deepest depths of my mind. Every five minutes I've been "oh it's so and so..."

I'm postponing playing #rtmi until I'm through with #monkeyisland 1 and 2. Of course on the #Amiga. Almost there. LeChuck's Revenge is a lot harder than I remembered. After 30 years I remember very little. It's almost like playing it for the first time.
