On LinkedIN, someone asked for a clearer version of the picture in the tweet about reversing a native gem to learn more. It's in the post: https://notepad.onghu.com/2023/learning-by-reversing-s1-e3-native-gems/
(Social media often changes the original PNG into a JPG for display. That looks fuzzy due to compression artifacts)

Around 2008 I wrote my first line of ruby, because I wanted to write scripts for a 3D modeling tool. Since then I haven’t found any other programming language that enjoy more than ruby. Happy birthday #ruby30th
I’ve been programming professionally for 23 years now. Over that time I’ve used Perl, PHP, Java, C#, Swift, Javascript etc
In 2006 I started using Ruby - after 17 years I still genuinely look forward to working with it every day 😊

In January 2001, I bought myself a book about a new language that I'd heard cool things about. The book had a #pickaxe on the cover. I loved the language immediately.
I spent a lot of the next five years trying to convince my jobs to use Ruby, eventually picking up #rails and becoming a professional Ruby programmer, and after that, an author of Ruby books…
Thanks to @matz, and to all the Ruby developers that make up this community.
In late 2004, I was interviewing for a PHP dev job at CDBaby with @sivers (in my living room) who then took a liking for this new thing called Ruby on Rails. I quickly fell in love with Ruby as a language. #ruby30th
...and #rails was .gateway drug to #ruby.
Came for the rails, stayed for the ruby!

Ruby serenaded me into a career as a programmer. Before Ruby, code was a means to an end. After Ruby, code was flow, growth, and the greatest intellectual endeavor I’ve ever found. I love Ruby as much today as when we first met in ‘03. Thank you @yukihiro_matz. Happy #ruby30th ❤️
