Does anyone have any fact-based reckons about Ruby Together (https://rubytogether.org/) as an organisation? i.e. how responsible/ethical/democratic/accountable they are?
We like to go through each dependency upgrade partly for getting an understanding of what is changing and why in the project; and partly as a reminder to appreciate the labor of the maintainers who are working with us (despite being temporally and physically apart).
(Brief shoutout to both #TideLift and #RubyTogether as projects that have made huge strides in a more sustainable open source and free software ecosystem for project maintainers!)
