#KevinRudd is an #Aussie who is currently based in the #USA but was previously a diplomat in #China (and our PM a couple of times in between)

He seems to be an internationally renowned China expert, a few too many non-Chinese guys get that designation, but I've even seen him interviewed about China by #SCMP - an English language news paper from #HongKong

He speaks Mandarin fluently, albeit not perfectly (there was an amusing viral video of him swearing in English about a difficult speech written for him in Chinese) and is one of the only international leaders who spoke to Xi without a translator.

Previously #Rudd was tweeting a lot about #Murdoch but lately it's mainly how to avoid war…
