Professor James M. McGill teaches legal ethics to law at the University of Chicago Law School. Prof. McGill grew up in Cicero, Illinois. He attended Yale for his BA in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. McGill earned his J.D. summa cum laude at Harvard where he gave the commencement speech.

He is married to Attorney Kim Wexler who is partner at Kirkland & Ellis.

They have a grown son, Jessie Pinkman, who is a pharmacist in Albuquerque, N.M.
