Afternoon, toots. Today is hot, tomorrow will be hotter, so I’m trying to prepare food this afternoon in preparation for tonight and tomorrow, so we can eat cold things. And playing #Wordfeud, and continuing to dig into various topics on #Trove.
Today’s photo is one of our local #magpie band, who we know as the Timsons, after the loveable family of minor criminals in the #Rumpole books, who kept that eminent gentleman in work. We love our magpies, they bring their young every year to see us.

I currently #amreading "#Rumpole and the Primrose Path" by John #Mortimer . By now, I've read more Rumpole stories than were ever adapted for TV, but no matter how many of these books I read I'll always see Leo McKern in my head while I'm reading them.

These are great cozy comfort reads for a cold day.
