This walrus ivory chess piece (c. early 12C) contains Scandinavian runes read as AGEROTH(R)(A):MOSEL (?: Moselle) and MAHTELT OK PÆTÆRR (Matilde and Peter).
Found in a 13C context at the original castle site ('t Oude Huys).
