Still can’t run. Walked 7 miles today. This is what happens to a runner who’s sidelined. In my case, it’s due to retina detachment surgery recovery. 0/5 stars would not recommend to a friend.

But silver lining is I actually found I love walking and plan to keep doing it on non-running days when I can finally run again.

New shoes arrived! #runnerLife

Morning walk views. I’m still not cleared for running at 7 weeks post-op for a detached retina, but I can walk as far as I want. Did 7 miles today and hit 55 walking miles for the month. I’m soooo ready to start #running again (among many other things while I’m still on very limited activity), but at least I can get outside and enjoy the views.
