> Congratulations! You have successfully registered for the Schwarzwald Marathon - Half Marathon
Target time of 2:15 would be nice. 10% faster than last year. 2:00 as a stretch goal but likely too far out of reach. Sub 2 hour would be amazing.

I’m nearly 51, i’ve been #running nearly 20 years and I’m just not interested in fast running. I have no need to prove anything, no desire to push myself to my limits, i have not one competitive bone in my body … and all these benefits of moderate moderation means a) no #run is ever a disappointment, b) I never get injured (apart from once grazing my palms slipping on gravel), and c) i stay forever youthful 😉😅

I mostly listen to podcasts while running, so my brain loves to come up with great ideas that will fade by the time I'm somewhere I can write them down. I have way too many Untitled Google Docs with indecipherable notes about games, stories, blog posts, marketing campaigns, etc that will never result in anything tangible.
That's the real runner's high! 🤣🤔😢

Figurative and literal treadmill.
7.6 miles 60 minutes with a 5 minute walk warm-up:
5 minute ramp up from 6.9 (nice) to 7.5 for a while.
5x intervals of 2 mins at 8.5, 2 min recovery at 7.5.
Cool down at 7.2 for a couple mins, finish with 10 mins at 7.5.
Way more fidgety that just feeling it out running outside lol.

Easy effort. Avoided all challenging segments. All things considered I felt it went fine 🤠👌🏼🏃🏻♂️💨
Easy 6 recovery this morning. Started with some logistical issues: it is dark at 6am so I need a headlamp for at least tge first couple miles BUT it was raining this morning so I wanted a hat to keep the rain out of my face. Headlamp and hat brim don’t work together so I did my gym workout first then went for the run after the sun was up. #Running

The heat is helping me run more slowly !
Finished today's run with the view from the top of the iconic De La Warr Pavilion.
Enjoy your running this week.
Check out my run ! 12.02Km

Winter is coming. Although we'll have 28deg today, the morning hours are getting colder. #running #sandals #shammasandals

A little bit too early (05:55) for my taste 😴🥱. It was ok once the sun was out 🙃🌅🌆. Does the gravel walking path around the Alster city lake make it #trailrunning ? 🤣 Let’s put this under regular #running 👊
Or maybe this is just what it feels like when resolve forms. Because knowing how the day after feels, I'm a whole lot less likely to bow out of another race.
"Do I need a doctor?" is a hurdle that impulse is going to have to clear in future. #running
It pisses me off that I can't be certain, right now, which part of me pulled the plug yesterday.
If it really was just the hamstring. Okay. That would hardly be shocking, and setbacks are all part of the process. It still hurts and needs rehab, regardless. But if I folded mentally and then couldn't face that fact honestly, that's a whole different -- maybe worse --problem. Is this self-doubt normal? I feel like I'm losing my marbles.
