As I've been working on abstracted wildfire and Lapland landscape paintings I've also been using the same shapes and colour palettes to create a fabric design series. The series is titled Ruska, the Finnish word for the fall colour change.

First tree painting finished for 2023. I'm trying to broaden my brush stroke repertoire - the unexpected reaction of the first layer of acrylic paint on the primer helped add some spontaneity to the trees.
