Today it's been 9 years since the start of the Euromaidan protests on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv. That's 9 years since Russia has been at war against Ukraine. Energoatom, the Ukrainian State Nuclear Energy Company, is blaming the attacks on Russia and has released the following statement:

"Once again, we appeal to the international community to urgently take measures for the demilitarization of the ZNPP as soon as possible, the withdrawal of all Russian military personnel from the territory of the station and the city of Energodar, and the return of the Zaporizhzhia NPP to the full control of Ukraine for the sake of the safety of the whole world!"

As expected, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation blames the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Both sides claim there were no casualties.

My take on the matter is that if Russia leaves Ukraine, no one would be firing anything at anyone.

Irina Vereshchuk, the deputy Prime Minster of Ukraine, visited Kherson today, having travelled on the train last night. She sang the National Anthem, spoke to residents and signed books.

On visiting the Antonovsky Bridge, the Russians opened fire with 120-mm mortars.

"You can read my answer on the road sign next to the entrance to the bridge: there are 248 km to Simferopol, and only 192 to Dzhankoy!" she said.

Due to a massive missile attack, on the National Electric Power Company Ukrenergo, the energy industry started emergency power outages throughout Ukraine. In particular, in the capital.
