On my way to #rustconf! I wasn’t expecting it to be so cool and rainy in Texas.

The worst thing is that if I knew before that I won't be attending #rustconf ... I could have attended #nixcon ...

I admit I've waited until now to take care of the masking part of the #RustConf COVID-19 policy: https://rustconf.com/covid It says I need to wear a disposable surgical mask (N95, KN95, KF95, etc.), and that a cloth mask isn't acceptable. Back when I wore masks, I wore cloth masks, but I haven't worn a mask for the past year at least. I know from things I've read here on Mastodon that I should never have stopped masking. Now I want to do it right. Any suggestions on where to start?

I really hope that I can convert my attendee Ticket for #rustconf to a remote attendee Ticket.

But I think that should be possible...

Just booked my flights for #RustConf in Albuquerque. I'll arrive in the evening on Monday, September 11, and will leave in the morning on Saturday, September 16.
