Roll your own 64x64-#dockapp for #windowmaker, #fluxbox, #blackbox, ….
In full unicode-glory, works charmingly.
Best to use glyphsize-aliased bitmapfont for starters and set -geometry accordingly; use -b (inner border in px) to fine-tune.

The launcher was a PowerShell oneliner already as I didn't want a text console to pop up (even briefly) on launch. For WSL2, I had to run two wsl commands, first to get the ip of the distro to add it to xhosts, and then the 2nd time to run #rxvt-unicode. It's still an oneliner but I had to put in a batch script as it was now too long for a shortcut, and running PS scripts directly would have required a policy change. Let me know if anyone's interested in the command/instructions.

A few months ago my terminal colours were suddenly messed up. I have no idea what caused that since I didn't touch any related settings for years.
Now I have a lot of pink on pink, which is obviously not readable.

I managed to partially fix it by deleting some colour definitions from #Xdefaults.

Did someone else experience the same?

for #fvwm1 (and for a time, #fvwm2), the man page used to have a BUGS section which listed the following:

As of fvwm 0.99 there were exactly 39.342 unidentified bugs. Identified bugs have mostly been fixed, though. Since then 9.34 bugs have been fixed.

Assuming that there are at least 10 unidentified bugs for every identified one, that leaves us with 39.342 - 9.32 + 10 * 9.34 = 123.402 unidentified bugs. If we follow this to its logical conclusion we will have an infinite number of unidentified bugs before the number of bugs can start to diminish, at which point the program will be bug-free.

Since this is a computer program infinity = 3.4028e+38 if you don't insist on double-precision. At the current rate of bug discovery we should expect to achieve this point in 3.37e+27 years

I guess I better plan on passing this thing on to my children....

The "I" here refers to Robert Nation, the original creator of #fvwm and #rxvt.

As it happens, I've not been able to reduce the number of bugs in #fvwm3 either, and I've no grandchildren...

Sei lá, eu sou do tempo do monitor de fósforo verde. Tem alguma coisa nesses emuladores de terminal modernos que me incomoda, mas no minimalismo do RXVT, eu me sinto em casa.
