Amerikaans drummer die in 1968 #MichaelClarke verving bij #TheByrds.
Tot 1965 dient hij in het leger, maar maakt vanaf dan deel uit van de #FolkRock scene in San Francisco. Hij start bij de band #TheRisingSons met #RyCooder en #TajMahal, maar de band stopt door te weinig succes.
Hij gaat terug werken, maar dan haalt #ChrisHillman hem in 1968 bij #TheByrds, waar dan ook #GramParsons zich bij de band voegt.

I'm re-reading "Los Angeles Stories," written by Ry Cooder and published by City Lights Books in 2011. Hard-edged, atmospheric short stories about post-WW2 LA, wth a beat/noir flavour. As far as I know, this is Cooder's only published written work. I wish he'd write more.
