Thinking about the fictional #Triceratops species depicted in #Ryusoulger reminded me of this wild fossil skull that turned up several years ago with an absolutely stupid-big nasal horn.

As to whether this skull belonged to a species of Triceratops or a different genus of ceratopsid altogether we may never know, since the fossil is languishing in some jerk's private collection and thus can't be studied — science, like most endeavors, doesn't work well when privatized. #FossilFriday
