6. Every game I don't get to play is my favorite game I don't get to play. I want to run #ryuutama, #wanderhome and #ultravioletgrasslands would really love to play #morkborg and pretty much would play just about anything else.

I do #worldbuiding with a focus away from Good/Evil and more on incompatible world views. A lot of time spent on magic as fantasy physics and its consequences.

I run a lot of #Knave and steal inspiration from the #OSR. I enjoy #Ryuutama but don't play it much. I consider #Pathfinder2e to be an acceptable if a bit complicated game. I enjoy #ChroniclesOfDarkness. I use a lot of narrative ideas but I'm not overly fond of Fate or Genesys (but I do own them.)

Ryuutama has an interesting metanarrative (idk if that's the correct term):
Dragons (game masters) guide travellers (players) creating stories to feed those stories to a dragon god as nutrients.
Game masters running the game and players playing it keep the game alive.

Taking a break from Unreal & returning to my #ttRPG #gamedev roots. Unfortunately I’m incapable of focusing on a single goal at a time so here are my current WIPs that I’m TOTALLY gonna finish:

1. Bastard&d: my spin on the oft underrated #DnD4E emphasizing combo moves & slaying giant monsters

2. Ryuu-2-ma: taking the whimsical anime core of #Ryuutama & expanding its mechanics

3. Tanklike: inspired by movies like Fury & T-34 but set in a fantasy World War setting, akin to Valkyria Chronicles

@deinol Have a #Ryuutama meme! The author of the game is an acquaintance of mine and a really nice guy. He used to work at the TTRPG cafe my group played at pre-pandemic, and now he runs his own gaming cafe.

Another conversation reminded me that I really love Ryuutama and I wish it had more supplements.

I should run it again sometime. Last time I did I imported a bunch of Dragon Quest monsters. It was great.

Maybe this is an interesting game mode for something like #Ryuutama, where travel and careful inventory management is part of the game. PCs are "gatherers" who collect alchemical ingredients for the alchemist back home to improve their community. The Hunter class already has an ability to "harvest" ingredients from defeated monsters, why not put that to good use? Add in some kind of economy system where you can sell off your surplus and invest that in your community... 4/
