I agree in spirit but, in practice there are almost no games I'd pay this much for.
Only one I can think of is #Ryzom as that's an open source #MMORPG.
I think I'm mostly over online games otherwise.
In practice, I wait for massive sales on #GOG, #itch, and #Steam. I just can't afford to budget much on #videogames let alone any other media.
I'd definitely have to play it for a bit to determine it's worth.
Wouldn't be such a problem is regular people got paid more.

Was thinking about giving #Ryzom one more shot, and I made a character who was butch af.
Still not 100% sure where the fun lives in this game, but I guess I should at least progress past the tutorial area to see if I can find it.
