The Little Mt. Douglas trail is a bit shorter to do & more suitable for me. It's less crowded than the main summit trail too.

Several of us in are upset about this. We don't know how feds got away w/violating protection of garry oak trees in & . Cuthbert Holmes park has a covenant from orginal donor - park is to be perpetually protected & no old growth trees or any garry oaks cut. They clearcut a few hillsides. Hardly any salmon came through river since ecosystem was destroyed. I'm trying to get some answers from municipal government.
