This is a little zine redesign I did for Sabordage distro to table at next weekend’s zine fair. I didn’t create the illustration; I used a weird wobbly ink pen to trace an old medieval-era woodcut image I found on the internet (for which I was unable to locate the source). The original image had two people in it who had presumably set the town on fire. I cropped them out of the image but have been thinking how I would undo that decision if given the opportunity. The text is very settler-aimed, so I think having a couple of super European-looking ppl setting their city on fire could have worked? But it’s all good. It’s printed on riso but tbh it would probably look totally fine on a normal colour printer.

Every time I lay out zine guts I tell myself I’ll never do it again, but it never sticks.
