The scale of the tragedy in the Channel overnight still hasn't fully come to light. Braverman says 'heartfelt thoughts' and no doubt Sunak & other cabinet members will too. Today's front pages tell a different story though. One not of compassion but of complete disregard!

Safe routes would drastically reduce these tragedies. People seeking safety from persecution would not have to risk their lives crossing the channel to get it. Its time the hollow words & the demonisation ended! #saferoutesnow
