Re: that previous photo, The #ForestofDean in #Gloucestershire is one of my major #FamilyHistory and #genealogy sites - my grandma grew up in the evocatively named #HangHillRoad in #Bream near #Lydney and her #ancestors were #IronMiners #CoalMiners #Woodmen with a #sailmaker and the odd #labourer . Almost all of them were from West Dean - Bream, Newland, Parkend, Pillowell, Whitecroft. Nanny always called the Forest “Home” and that is how it feels to me, although I have never lived there.

So #introduction time I guess!

I've been a #sailmaker, #rigger, #splicer, and parts and porcurement in the marine industry for almost 30 years. Have worked with govt entities and NGO's. Taught #splicing for the Canadian Coast Guard.

My knees still work so I'm looking to move to the #osint, #pentest, #hacking world. Basically trading one passion career for another! I'm doing it self taught style so any helpful tips or advice is very, very welcome.
