In 1996 brengt hij zijn eerste soloalbum uit, en werkt met oa Prince, The Roots, Defunkt enz
En als producer voor oa #SalifKeita.
In 2000 richt hij #TheYohimbeBrothers op met #DjLogic.

I often listen to songs in a foreign language so that I focus on the instrumentality of the voice.
I listen to Maurice Louca in Arabic, Salif Keita in Bambara/ Malinke/French etc., Anjélique Kidjo in Fon/Yorùbá/Gen/French, the pop music of Tarkan in Turkish, and so on.
Salif Keita from Mali is called the "Golden Voice of Africa", so try the slow "Katolon" (2002) linked below.
