Little has changed since then: The Republican party has continued to condemn this ruling (in United States v. Windsor) and to blast a later SCOTUS ruling that also favored marriage equality (in Obergefell v. Hodges). The party's most recent presidential-year platform demanded the appointment of judges who would roll back our basic rights, and some current Supreme Court justices have indicated an eagerness to do so.
