I was trying to remember what Sammie's mix was and it finally hit me. He was a chow/german shepherd mix. He had a face that looked mean but a sweet and gentle soul. The funny thing was when we'd go for walks and dogs would bark at him, he couldn't hear them since he was mostly deaf. But when he did turn to look at them, they went running. That's all it took was a look.
