I got another image done for my Little Red Riding Hood-inspired calendar.

This one used two reference images. One from a friend that was a bright sunny day, so I had to work hard to make it look like a rainy, drizzly day. And the other of a rainy creek with the atmosphere I wanted. Oy!!! I learned a LOT on this one!!

Woohoo! An album I illustrated is finally in my hot little hands and I can share the work I did for it! It's dropping on July 15. It's the 2nd of a trilogy. All three covers fit together visually and thematically. I got to do interior art, too.

I'm celebrating because this is only the second legit paying gig I've ever had beyond selling my own stuff on my own. And my heart is honestly stoked. Small victories!

Here's more Oz art. At one point, I thought of merging Dorothy's tale with Alice in Wonderland, but it actually turned out to be more of an illustration texture experiment.

Then I thought of combining Oz and Narnia and Wonderland in an epic "Wicked Witches" tale, but that, too, was just an idea for an illustration. Someday I'll get around to writing some stuff! Haha!

There was a time when I was on a Wizard of Oz kick, and thought I'd do some images based on an alternative telling of the tale. I thought of an old Dowager Dorothy Gale telling her version of the story, ala "True Tales of Hollywood" sensationalistic memoirs. LOL!

Anyway, I got three or four images done and then lost interest. Still, I'm proud of 'em! :)
