Worked on this one all day. Finishing line work, adding color, cleaning up... Whew!

This is one of two full-color double-page spreads I'm submitting with my practice book dummy to an Art Director for feedback & advice (through my local SCBWI chapter). Not looking to publish, so there's no pressure.

I don't think this actually works for since it was over last week and I never read up on how to actually do it...

But it reminds me of the night I went camping with my dad specifically to watch a meteor shower that was projected in our area. It wasn't a constant stream of falling stars, but there were about 50 or so that night before we finally fell asleep. Well worth the trip!

My mother-in-law saw my pet portrait I did a couple days ago and quickly said, "Do this one next!". She got me a pic of her adopted diva pug, Trudy. She's spoiled, barks at dogs on TV, and leaves fur coats in her wake wherever she goes, but we love her anyway.

Work in progress digital painting for a set of waterfall-themed greeting cards. Did this on my livestream, which I'll continue on Twitch on Tuesday night (9/4) from 7-9:00pm PDT.

Lots of refining to do, contrast, and detail work to put in, but it's getting there!

Whew! Waterfall #2 is done! Four more to go for my greeting card set!! Got it done on my stream tonight.

I'll be streaming again on YouTube on Sunday, 9/25, 1-3:00pm PDT where I'll start another image! Grab a sketchpad and come lurk--no pressure to chat. I'll be listening to some soothing music as I sketch!

Whew! I got it done! The first illustration for my 2023 Little Red calendar is complete! This is February.

Plus, I got the basic under-colors blocked in for January as well as some inking (well, it's all digital but the process is the same...). Woohoo!
