No. No, it isn't. There are plenty of very coherent reasons for distrusting institutions and the media. Deep conspiracy theories are something else. If you paint a picture of trust in institutions = sane, and distrust in institutions = insane, you aren't grasping it.

Really appreciated the segment on BBC Radio 4 about guns in America on my way home today (Bad Guy with a Gun). They played the clip of President Obama reading out the names of the children of Sandy Hook and I cried; those kids were about the ages of my kids now. Can’t believe it’s been 10 years since then! So glad we moved to the UK so our kids don’t have to grow up practicing for this situation.
