This would have been in the #SanLuisValley (southern #Colorado northern #NewMexico ) circa 1930s.

Something I made a couple weeks ago. It's called "Spirit of the SLV." I included elements of the #SanLuisValley in this small piece.
1. Our bee keepers
2. Our farmers
3. Our UFO watch tower
4. The interesting spirituality around the valley
5. The Rio Grande River
6. Our burgeoning LGBT+ community
7. The mountains and Sand Dunes

I did ink and watercolor drawings that abstractly represent the San Luis Valley, a couple which have gold foil accents that don't show up will in the pictures.
Each represents different aspects of the San Luis Valley: farming, UFOs, spirituality, hippies, artists, Buddhists, off-grid folks, the blossoming LGBT+ community, Great Sand Dunes, Mount Blanca, honey bee keepers, etc.

Mt. Blanca as seen from my hometown of #Alamosa #Colorado #SanLuisValley
The San Luis Valley always looks to Mt. Blanca, it is a focal point and a source of chillness.
Hope these hashtags help connect with others with ties to the Valley. I may be the first to use #Alamosa (at least I think so) and hopefully not the last. 😉
