#EscapuleWash is one of the main drainages near the #SanPedroRiver near the ghosttown of #Charleston in Southeastern #Arizona. The water comes roaring through here after a rain storm, regardless whether the rains were falling on you or on the mountains 20 miles away. Keep out of washes whenever you see it raining!

We visited the #ghostown of #Fairbank, #Arizona, yesterday. It's situated near the #SanPedroRiver in the #SanPedroRiparianNationalConservationArea. There are several wooden structures, with corrugated tin roofs, this one being the largest, a brick schoolhouse, and a cemetery

We had clear blue skies -- the bane of #photography . This one was taken in 2020, with nice wispy cloud streaked skies. The #building hasn't changed since then.

Houston, we have a problem... So much for #WaterIsLife. The #BureauofLandManagement thinks water is for mining, even at the super important biological hotspot #SanPedroRiver. To be fair, they maybe think water is important for miners to drink too. 🙄

This is a take. #BureauofLandManagement signage at the #SanPedroRiver in #Arizona headline: "Water... for mining... for life."
