Once central thesis in the book #StrongTowns is that old-style walkable developments are more financially sound, and one way to measure that is to measure revenue per acre.

So I decided to measure exactly that. I got all property tax revenue data from #SantaClaraaCounty, and grouped them by us census blocks. Unsurprisingly old downtowns are very revenue positive.

But outside of the downtowns cities also get $$$ from large office parks, see for example the big orange dot where the Apple campus is.
