Just got home from doing an hour and a half of volunteer landscaping at our local library. 4 two-inch-diameter branches lopped off two trees and hauled to a pile of brush, plus 2 chamisas topped and 12 chamisa stumps dug out for three more wheelbarrow loads. My sweetie cleaned out the cactus garden that I suspect ¾ of library patrons didn’t even know was right next to the front door. Satisfying morning, but I really should’ve thought to take before and after pictures… #Eldorado #SantaFe

Went to the final free concert at the #SantaFe plaza of the year tonight after dinner at the Plaza Cafe. Saw Severo y Grupa Fuego (top photo) and then Cuarenta y Cinco. It was a pretty good time. Wish we could’ve stayed later, but driving after dark isn’t my strong-suit, so we headed home after seeing just a few songs from the headliners.

So Norteños in the know exchange cash for roasted green chile peppers put in a trash bag in a paper bag in a parking lot near a former strip bar between an open horse trailer and a propane tank. And it is SO GOOD.

Had lunch at the food truck lot on Old Pecos Trail and Paseo de Peralta today. We both decided to eat at Fusion Tacos, but the smell of the BBQ place was pretty tantalizing. How is it we’ve lived in #SantaFe for four years and this is our first time eating there? Anyway, good ugh not significantly cheaper than eating at a sit-down restaurant.

Dinner from last night. My wife got the pasta, and I got the pepperoni pizza. But my highlight was the beer I had called Que Picante by Chile Line Brewery in Santa Fe, NM.
