This picture is near Las Vegas, NM the day I drove from #Amarillo to #SanteFe. I left the car running and #TheB52s' "Roam" blasting while I snapped a few.

🎧 #B52s & Me | January 1990, I life-change moved DC > SF. Sent a few vital belongings by UPS and took a drive-away red Fiat convertible cross-county.
I set out from #Amarillo at noon after a killer day-before from Houston on the back roads. Not a cloud but cold day with #NewOrder and #B52s cassettes in rotation.
At sunset, I rolled into #SanteFe (a lot stoned), "Deadbeat Club" blasting. That beautiful moment made me cry, just as remembering that evening does now. https://youtu.be/JXy0XnzTQuc
