Interview with South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas. Essentially, whatever the suggestion is for housing show how it will increase supply if the government were to adopt it. abc.net.au/radionational/progr

Dealing with civil disruptions is fine So long as your Government also takes effective action to address the issues being aired. Like in medicine, dealing with the problem is more effective than dealing with the symptoms

I’m no fan of privatisation and am glad governments are realising that for profit companies are the only winners with the users being losers.
This shows that governments can take back services into public hands. Well done SA.

"To tackle bullying behaviour, more must be done to encourage inclusion and understanding of diversity — something which should be aimed for regardless of the environment we find ourselves in."

Banning mobiles in schools to curb bullying a band-aid, not a cure

South Australia's voluntary assisted dying (VAD) laws come into effect on 31 January 2023.

But under these laws, doctors cannot initiate conversations about VAD; they may only provide information "on the patient’s request".

SA's and Victoria's laws both have this limitation, whereas the laws in NSW, Queensland, WA and Tasmania do not.

In fact, the clause tends to create confusion among doctors as to what constitutes a 'patient request'. It's also caused concerns about equality of access and knowledge of availability.

Read more about the issue at the link below.

But regardless: South Australians, please help educate people that VAD will be available in your state from 31 January!

Very proud of our SA Unions team, this pay rise will see an extra $40/week in the pockets of some of our states lowest paid workers.
We're a long way from where we were last year, when Steven Marshal refused to even declare Christmas a public holiday!

E-scooters, as presently operated in Adelaide, are injurious to their often inexperienced riders, a bowl-over risk to pedestrians and night time trip hazards. Will the Adelaide City Council vote on Tuesday to renew the trial (again) and put convenience ahead of safety?

Premier @PMalinauskasMP should reverse his egregious and unprincipled attack on Adelaide’s Park Lands and SA’s heritage protection and switch the New Women’s and Children’s Hospital to the bigger and better Old West End Brewery site. It just makes sense.
