and at 2 am
it don't matter much
that my skin won't tremble
beneath her touch
and at 2 am
I can barely feel
that the lips pressing mine
can't begin to heal
and my body wants
when the clock chimes two
another's breath,
but convince myself this will do
almost believing with closed eyes
that unrecognizable sighs
and the warmth covering me
comes from familiar thighs
no thoughts of morning
it is time away
and by a sun bright 2
the guilt will fade

For you are a winter rose a spark of color in a monotone realm,
A hellebore, a flower that I hold dear to my heart with the meaning of serenity,
I see the rays of golden sunlight reflected in your hair of carmel,
For not a day in my life that has been worse off for knowing you

and realize
