On Christmas day, the comedian Sarah Millican does this thing where she encourages people to check in on her Twitter and be open about how they're doing. I think it's brilliant, and an innately kind use of her fame.
It's ok to love Christmas.
It's fine to feel quite the opposite.

Got into bed last night, stuck my head under husband’s hand on my pillow. When he moved it the #hypervigilance kicked in and I’ve been jumpy and tearful since I woke up. (I have been #estranged from my “mother” for 10 years and siblings for 2.)
