So I sat out on the front porch with a can of sardines and sourdough bread slices.

Upside: They were tasty. Something something heart health.

Downside: I am now ritually unclean, because I consumed stinkfish. I must bathe carefully and scrub my teeth until the smell is gone, or I will have to sleep outside.

The remaining fishy olive oil, I poured over a clump of clover near the sidewalk. Done this before. Dogs passing, smell it, and are so intrigued.

The strangest things become trendy. Chi-chi imported sardines, mussels, etc. from Italy, Portugal and wherever... like a mini-buffet.

I suppose with fish stocks becoming more depleted, and wild fish becoming more expensive, this was perhaps inevitable.

It's that story about #sardine #trading in California when sardines became scarce. The traders bid them up and the price of sardines soared. One day a buyer decided to treat himself to an expensive meal and opened a can. He became ill and told the seller the sardines were no good. The seller said, “Yes, but these aren't eating sardines, they're trading sardines.”

That's #crypto to me. There are a hundred tokens out there being traded, but I don't see people using them to buy stuff.
