@douglaspynn @petergleick I think the problem is that just isn't deadly enough. If it were as deadly as , prople might be more careful, but then again, the virus wouldn't spread as easily because it would be running out of hosts. Nobody really knows how many people have permanent damage from Covid, nobody really knows how many people are suffering from the chronic illnesses in the / category, many people who had Covid have taken some degree of permanent damage and don't even know, and when it hits them months, years, or maybe decades later, they won't even know that Covid is to blame.

The consequence is that it causes damage to a wide range of human organs and systems. Lungs, hearts, kidneys, cardiovascular systems, and nearly everything else one can think of are well documented to be susceptible to lasting damage as a result of

In it was 300+ but now I believe that’s reached 600+ 🤯

I cannot stop thinking about the 15🐭mutation study

Never realized my willingness to be wrong (albeit sometimes happens while kicking & screaming) was actually a survival mechanism & maybe the one trait that makes me above average intelligent

There’s stubborn, & there’s STUBBORN… 🍌

Researchers identify a new entryway into cells for virus causing

"Previous studies have shown that as well as an earlier coronavirus, , the virus behind the outbreak in 2003, enter cells via two distinct pathways. The new research led by Dr. Côté's lab shows a third entry route.

This viral entryway involves metalloproteinases, enzymes in the body with a catalytic mechanism that requires a metal, such as zinc atoms, to function."
