Heads up!
Major outage.
4F1 - 143E - APAC seems to be down for both C-Band and L-Band.
We have double checked our systems and best we can tell, the classic AERO signal for both bands is just gone.

OFC just took the tech stack that all the other used...

Personally, I wished @BNetzA would enforce providers to not illegally bundle tariffs with devices as per Β§73 TKG...

Because the lack of enforced standardization turns a lot of equipment into expensive and bulky paperweights for no good reason.

Which is why is being researched and why and others literally do the closest they can do to fiberoptics in space: Actively-tracked optical links and bridges between satellites...

In short: unless it's a constantly moving vehicle or vessel that has to operate far away from any permanent settlement or shores, there's hardly any need that justifies amidst the high cost, high latency and low bandwiths.

An increasingly interconnected world with more devices online than ever before means the demand for low latency, high capacity, secure, and uninterrupted internet is still growing. What is the role of selective windows and transceiver filters to improve the signal to noise in systems? Learn more: ilphotonics.com/what-is-an-opt

I've been asked a lot recently what I would do if I won the lotto. Most of my responses are white bread boring, pay off the houses, cars, upgrade a few things. But being the nut that I am, I would definitely purchase this place, renovate it, USE it, and have a blast.

The worry thing is why I am going this year. The folks at the Aerospace Village have asked me to speak and run a antenna building workshop next year and they said it would be much better if I could go this year and just a feel for the event without the pressure of speaking the building.
Your advice to just chill out and not overthink it is appreciated.

@Jain @gingerrroot @gabri @ActionRetro @fuchsiii OFC size limits could be mitigated by having multiple cookies, but that would just make absurdly big HTTP requests, allow for accidential 'ings and hurt performance very hard on asymetric bandwiths and espechally [throttled] and connections...

In short, there is sadly no good option that doesn't result in some "" - alike monster-blob.

Been meaning to say this for a while, but wanted to test it to be certain. I've had Verizon 5G Home Internet for about three months now. Here's my brief review on it. If you live close to a tower that does the 5G service on -Band (which I have), or better (mm-wave), then it's worth every penny as an - It's a very open area of bandwidth that is not congested yet (at least here), and is MUCH faster than the pretend-level 5G (4.5G actually) that T-Mobile Home Internet was. TMHI was $50/month, and I suppose good for a backup, but $80/month for Verizon for most people would be a great stand alone service. Sadly, I didn't realize this until I already had Cox Gigabit installed and a load balancer and all of that. Cox + Verizon = good stuff if you're willing to pay for it, and I am, since working from home is how I roll, and redundancy is mission critical for the operations I support.

You'd think I would be anti-C-band in general because of my background, but for now I'm loving it.

@jebba @nixCraft Yeah...

That's basically the closest to get pronouns nonconsensually changed into was/were in term...

The only thing that gets one flatlined faster is acquiring a sub "with rockets", cuz even the Cartels that abuse 243MHz -- got cold feet at that one...

SatCom plays an essential role in ensuring continuity in a wide range of governmental missions and supporting the operations of key infrastructure, where access to uninterrupted satellite communications is crucial.

The access to these comms starts with downstream applications, and to support the development of such applications, hosted the first ever Downstream Industry Days.
