I had a huge amount of fun at #Satellite8 this weekend. I had been worried about going on my own, but it was mostly fine. Extra thanks to Naveed for inviting me to join his group for dinner this evening, thus ensuring that it was nearly midnight before I left the convention!

Had a good writing workshop at #satellite8 run by Helen Claire Gould, on polishing chapter and scene transitions. I had to write three scene ends and the beginnings of the following scenes.

Hopefully I can recycle them :)

I'm pleased at how restrained my #Satellite8 dealers' room haul has been.

Finally made it down to the Govan stones, thanks to #Satellite8. Some really interesting history here, right on my doorstep which I'd possibly buffet have got around to visiting otherwise.

Second day of #satellite8. Hired #bikes to cycle along the Clyde to the con hotel. The whole rental process was painless and I only crashed once which was nearly painless.

Good first day of #satellite8 - chatted with friends who are often super busy at larger cons, scavenger-hunted, and even saw some programming.

Had a great first day at #Satellite8. Really enjoyed the ceilidh, although I'd forgotten how hard the Dashing White Sergeant is when you're in the middle!
