Gimme 10 or 11 songs and I’m all yours – like on this ONE album, the one I went back to again and again and did enjoy.

This Week’s #NewReleases: #Sault – 11. What’s with everyone doing triple and quintuple albums in 2022? Sault’s first of five released this month took a while to grow on me, but the retrosoul inflections feel like Massive Attack channeling Funkadelic. “Fear No One” is audio lava lamp. “Fight for Love” does the Sade shuffle. “Jack’s Gift” lays down a thoughtful lesson on love versus fear. Deserves to be heard as you recline on a velvety sofa.
