For some reason, the next 5 days are packed with trade shows. Today it M. Touton ... it was super crowded and hard to work the room because of their split between DC/MD and Va (those franchises can really mess up who sells what in which state). But still, there was plenty of great wine on offer!

Well, now I know why they were selling it off for 90p a can. At least you can see me reflected in the glass, that's the most interesting bit about the #beer. Maybe it was the can design that was the collaboration.

I do not know why they were also selling bottles of a 2018 #Sauternes for £2... I have higher hopes for that.

Sauternes' vineyard is shrinking and moving away from Sémillon. In 2021, the municipality of Sauternes (#Bordeaux) had 364 ha of vineyards, planted with three varieties: Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadel. Just received some #wine that I ordered on a whim during the summer...

There's this cool service out of Napa called Last Bottle that offers a vintage at deep discounts and during the hot, summer has a hold service to wait until the weather is friendlier for shipping.

Never had this #sauternes before and it looks tempting and the price is good for a daily drinker.

I'm sure it's no #dYquem but I have a thing for sweet wine.
