Saw the opening night of English National Opera’s It’s A Wonderful Life. It did exactly what opera is supposed to - took a story and intensified the emotional content.
They’re encouraging people to sign a petition to #SaveENO and reistate their funding. Last night was a good example of why we need ENO as well as our other opera companies, who have also faced cuts:
