The first phase of the Geary Blvd Improvement Project resulted in 18% faster bus travel times, a 37% improvement in transit reliability, and 81% less dangerous speeding by cars.

Now we want to extend those benefits to the next section of Geary. The tradeoff is a loss of an average of 1.4 parking spaces per block and we should absolutely do this in order to save lives and improve the level of transit service.
