In case you’re wondering why everyone is so angry at Manchester City Council
This is Jan Oldenburg. Maybe Manchester City Council have forgotten Jan and what he did for Manchester but we haven’t.
Every second they waste in that hearing trying to shut down the Night & Day Cafe is an insult to Jan’s work.
There should be a statue of him at the entrance to Oldham Street.

Night & Day Cafe's hearing is next Tuesday, and this has been a long and torturous time for them. Here's hoping that integrity and good sense prevails.

Also, it's testament to Tony's genius that he managed to really capture this old chunk of coal in just a few lines.
