I have a lifetime membership to the National Archives and the Library of Congress. Most Out of Print and Banned books are PDF form but can easily be converted for ereaders. Banning books is a form of bullying and you'll never get me to believe otherwise. Save digital copies to thumbdrives, phone memory, tablet memory, SDcards, flash drives. AND SHARE THEM.

Another solution reared its head while I was compiling this list. lectura.social is an instance of @bookwyrm, and BW uses the @OpenLibrary to source its bibliographical data.

Many of these titles were available for digital library loan on the Open Library in one digital format or another (ebook or audiobook).

In fact, if someone with an account on Open Library decides to replicate this list there, this will make it even easier for Florindians to find the banned titles.

Among the victims, quite a few heavyweights - Toni Morrison, Margaret Atwood, Alice Walker, Isabel Allende (?), Aldous Huxley, John Steinbeck.

Vast amounts of YA fiction, a majority of African-American authors, a majority of women authors, any title related to Critical Race Studies, #BLM, #lgbtq, #sex.ed, some self-aid titles, some romance titles, and a surprising amount of fantasy titles.

(Ok, granted, Ursula K. Le Guin is also, technically, a "fantasy" author, but it looks like they never got to those bookshelves.)

Signs with relief upon finding out that the Floridians haven't banned #SICP from school libraries.

(Mind you, they've whacked Isabel Allende's "The House of the Spirits", and, in a rather ironic turn, Margaret Atwood's "The Handmaid's Tale". It sucks.)
