My health woes continue, but thank you #SNHS. Had to call for an ambulance last night, was here quickly, off to A & E, triaged, saw Doc, pain relief and back home by 11.30pm. I don't know how they keep smiling, but the staff are amazing. We need to #SaveTheNHS

Today NHS junior doctors across England have begun a 5 day walkout to demand pay restoration, after more than a decade of real terms salary cuts. This is the longest single strike in NHS history.
One of the junior doctors taking part is Andrew. He came here from the US eight years ago to study medicine, and ended up staying to work here because he loves the NHS - and what it stands for - so much.

I give thanks to the NHS today, on its 75th birthday. If it weren't for the NHS, I wouldn't be 39, I would most likely have died shortly after birth due to a heart defect.

My second son would have likely died of #Meningitis at 4 months old.

If it weren't for the NHS, I'd either be dead or in perpetual debt to repay the hospital bills.
